After 42 days of strike and several negotiation meetings between Tate Enterprises senior management, PCS Tate United and the mediator ACAS, union members have voted in favour of suspending strike action from Thursday the 1st of October pending finalisation of the details of an offer, which includes improved terms and redundancy for Tate Commerce workers affected by the restructure. Further details will follow in a joint statement between Tate United PCS and management.

Today—Strike Day #40—we were at the Tate Enterprises Distribution Centre in Chadwell Heath to stand in solidarity with our Tate Commerce colleagues who work in the warehouse. Thankfully there are no redundancies among their team but that has not stopped several workers from striking with us and joining our protests. We brought some workers from Tate Modern out to the warehouse to show that all Tate jobs are important. It was a great day!

On Tuesday the 22nd September we will be outside Tate Modern Main Entrance from 10.45am to answer your questions and give information on our campaign.

We are also inviting you to come and join us in making a protest sign, poster or banner to show you care about the strike and to express a positive message of support! Tell Tate what you think with a sign you could even take into the gallery. We will have some art materials on hand but feel free to bring along cardboard. We will be there until 1pm.
